Continental Kitchen is a non-profit shared commissary kitchen and food business incubator in Mobile, Alabama dedicated to empowering culinary entrepreneurs and celebrating the Gulf Coast’s diverse food culture. Its mission is to provide affordable access to fully equipped commercial kitchen space, industrial-grade equipment, storage solutions, business mentorship, and supportive resources for underserved food founders and small-business owners.
More than just a kitchen, Continental Kitchen fosters growth through educational training in food safety and business fundamentals, cultural enrichment activities, and community-building events—all designed to help food entrepreneurs flourish and bring their unique flavors to a wider audience.
The organization also offers multipurpose event and meeting spaces that support collaborations, workshops, and gatherings, further strengthening its role as a hub for creativity and economic opportunity.
A project of the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast (HABAGC), Continental Kitchen is rooted in inclusive community support and economic development, helping aspiring chefs, caterers, food truck operators, and other culinary entrepreneurs overcome barriers to entry in the food industry.
